It is in the interest of everyone that the proposed development of Holland House from its former nursing home status into a medium secure mental health unit for violent men does not materialize.

The adjacent map clearly illustrates how close Holland House is to the populated zones of Hook, Goole, Airmyn, Howden and other outlying villages. Ease of access to the major transportation arteries also presents a very high risk to other communities in the area.

North Goole and the village of Hook are at greatest risk if the proposed development is given the green light. Within one mile of Holland House are a sports facility, a hospital, schools and nurseries.

A major concern is the number of childrens' facilities in the locality, including the sports complex where hundreds of youngsters are introduced to sport right on the boundary of Holland House!
